From the founder

My name is Joanna Borov. I'm a fashion model with international experience. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with endometriosis.

The fashion industry is known for its intense competitiveness and fast-paced environment, making it a challenging field to work in. From designers to models, photographers to stylists, every role in the fashion industry requires dedication, creativity, and a willingness to adapt to constantly evolving trends and consumer preferences. Additionally, with the rise of fast fashion and e-commerce, the industry has become increasingly crowded, creating even more competition for those looking to make their mark. As a result, aspiring fashion professionals must prepare to work hard, stay current, and constantly innovate to succeed in this demanding but rewarding field.

Working in the fashion industry can be particularly challenging for professionals who have health issues, especially in the case of models. Battling health issues should not mean giving up on dreams. Models  who suffer from health conditions should be able to work and contribute to the industry.

In the past, the emphasis on physical appearance and body standards has led to a culture of extreme thinness and pressure to maintain a certain weight and body shape. This pressure can be particularly difficult for models with health issues, as they may face additional challenges in meeting these standards while managing their health. Moreover, the long hours, demanding schedules, and travel requirements  can also take a toll on models' physical and mental health, making it even more difficult for those with preexisting health issues. While the industry has made some efforts to address these issues in recent years, much work remains to be done to ensure that all professionals in the fashion industry can work in a safe and supportive environment.

To all the hardworking women in the fashion industry who may be facing health issues, I want you to know that you are not alone.

The unique obstacles that women with health issues may face in the industry are recognized, and some solutions help support and empower you in your work. I believe that the fashion industry can be a force for positive innovation, and promote a culture of health, well-being, and inclusivity within the industry.

I am committed to creating a brighter future for all professional women in the fashion industry, regardless of their health status.
